DURHAM, N.C. – Tobacco Road rivals Duke and North Carolina square off for the second time in a week, meeting in the quarterfinals of the 2017 ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship Thursday in Richmond, Va. ... The contest will be broadcast on RSN and ACC Network Extra.

All-ACC Accolades
Senior defender Maura Schwitter and junior midfielder Maddie Crutchfield were among the 24 players to be selected to the 2017 All-ACC Women's Lacrosse teams Wednesday ... Both Schwitter and Crutchfield garnered all-conference recognition for the second consecutive season, with Schwitter earning a spot on the first team and Crutchfield on the second team. 

Duke in the ACC Tournament
Under the direction of head coach Kerstin Kimel, the Blue Devil program is 11-19 all-time in the ACC Tournament, 5-2 in the quarterfinal round and 4-6 when facing North Carolina ... Duke is playing as the No. 8 seed for the first time.

Cordrey Continues Solid Rookie Season
Freshman midfielder Catherine Cordrey has found a home among the Blue Devil attack, ranking third on the team in goals (28) and tying for third in points (32) ... The 28 goals tie her for seventh on the program's freshman single season chart ... The Summit, N.J., native is tied for 12th on the rookie list in points ... Cordrey enters the postseason leading the ACC in free position percentage (.667) and ranked among the league's leaders in free position goals per game (0.75) and shot percentage (.549).

Hats Off
Junior attacker Kyra Harney notched her team-leading sixth hat trick of the season in last Saturday's matchup with the Tar Heels ... She owns 20 hat tricks for her career to lead all current Blue Devils ... Seven different Blue Devils have recorded at least one hat trick on the season.

Jenner Devilish on the Draw
Sophomore attacker Olivia Jenner has amassed 94 draw controls this spring, with that output ranking second on Duke's single season chart behind her own 110 draws as a freshman last season ... She recently surpassed 2014 graduate Taylor Virden (184) for second on the program's all-time list with 204 career draws ... That total ranks Jenner eighth all among active Division I players ... Behind the play of Jenner in the draw circle, the Blue Devils are 7-4 when holding an advantage in the draw controls category ... Jenner enters the postseason ranked third in the ACC and 13th nationally with an average of 5.88 draw controls per game ... Senior defender Maura Schwitter is second on the team with 48 draws, ranking her eighth in the ACC in the category.

North Carolina Series History
Tobacco Road rivals Duke and North Carolina square off for the 36th time Saturday with the Tar Heels holding a 21-14 advantage in the series following last weekend's matchup in Durham ... The Blue Devils' last win over North Carolina came in a thrilling 7-6 overtime contest April 16, 2014 in Kenan Stadium ... Junior attacker Kyra Harney owns a team-best nine goals in five career contests against North Carolina ... Senior defender Isabelle Montagne has notched a team-high six ground balls in six games against the Tar Heels while classmate Maura Schwitter has five ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers in that span.

Scouting the Tar Heels
North Carolina captured its third consecutive ACC regular season title with a 19-7 win at Duke last Saturday ... The Tar Heels came in at No. 3 in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) rankings and No. 2 in the NCAA RPI ratings ... The squad ranks second in the country in draw controls per game (16.93) behind the efforts of senior Sammy Jo Tracy, who tops the ACC and fourth nationally in the category (7.93) ... Molly Hendrick (53g, 7a) shared ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors this week following a seven-goal performance against the Blue Devils in the regular season finale ... Goalkeeper Caylee Waters enters the weekend with a 9.43 goals against average and a .498 save percentage.

Against Ranked Opponents
The strength of Duke's 2017 slate has been on display this season ... The squad owns a 3-6 mark against ranked foes with wins over No. 12 Stanford, No. 17 Boston College and No. 18 Elon ... The Blue Devils are 16-18 against ranked foes since 2015 ... Nine of Duke's 2017 opponents were ranked in this week's edition of the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll, including third-ranked North Carolina.
