DURHAM, N.C. – Senior attacker and draw specialist Olivia Jenner received 2019 Preseason All-America third team accolades from Inside Lacrosse Tuesday while sophomore attacker Charlotte North and junior defender Callie Humphrey were honorable mention All-America selections.
The 2019 preseason All-Americans were recognized in the publication’s Face-Off Yearbook.
A first team IL Media All-America pick last spring, Jenner led Duke at the draw in 2018 with an ACC-best 149 draw controls. She tied for third nationally in the category and became the Blue Devils’ all-time career draw controls leader in March. Jenner also surpassed her own program single season record of 110 draw controls in April before receiving second team Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-South Region and second team All-ACC honors.
Jenner also excelled on the attacking end last spring, ranking second on the team in goals (31) and third in points (44).
North is coming off of an outstanding rookie campaign that saw her break the program’s freshman goals and points records. She led the squad in both categories, totaling 59 goals and 64 points in 17 contests. The Dallas, Texas native rounded out the season with a team-high 12 hat tricks and averaged 3.47 goals per game.
Humphrey paced the Blue Devils and ranked among the ACC leaders with 37 ground balls last spring. A product of Summit, N.J., she also led the squad in caused turnovers with 16 and was named to the All-ACC second team.
Duke, ranked 20th in the 2019 Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook preseason poll, open the 2019 season Feb. 9 against Villanova at Koskinen Stadium. Single game tickets for the 2019 campaign are available here.
