TOWSON, Md. – Three members of Duke’s incoming freshman class competed in the 12th annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game Saturday, with Charlotte North taking home MVP honors after leading the South team to a 16-15 overtime victory at Towson’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.
North, who will join the Blue Devils from Dallas, Texas, tallied one assist, three ground balls and three goals – including the overtime gamewinner Saturday. It marked the first overtime contest in the history of the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game.
Two other Blue Devils – Catriona Barry of California and Katie Cosgrove of New York – competed for the North team.
Barry, Cosgrove and North were three of the 44 senior girls selected by Inside Lacrosse and a selection committee to the 12th annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game.
