PDL Top Prospects

DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University men's soccer senior Brian White is having a summer to remember for the New York Red Bulls U23 squad. The New Jersey native was recently tabbed among the top five of the Third Edition of PDL Top Prospects list.

White comes in at No. 5 as he makes his debut on the top 20 list that consists of 24 scouts, including head coaches, technical directors and coaching directors, across North America. The striker currently leads the Premier Development League (PDL) in goals scored this season with 13 in his 10 games played.

He also has contributed an assist as the Red Bulls sit atop the Mid Atlantic Division with a 9-1-0 overall record.  The Red Bulls, with White leading the charge, lead the division and are tied for tops in the league with 33 goals scored in 10 games.

White returns to Duke for his senior season after leading the Blue Devils last year with 14 points from five goals and four assists. He earned All-ACC second team honors in 2016 and was voted the team's Most Valuable Offensive Player. For his career, White has 13 goals and eight assists for 34 points. He has started 43 of the 53 games he has played at Duke.

The Blue Devils kick off the 2017 season Aug. 25 and 27 with the John Rennie Nike Invitational. Duke welcomes Central Florida and Fordham to the tournament along with Elon.
