DURHAM, N.C.—Duke men’s soccer senior Cameron Moseley was named the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week following his two-goal outing against Wisconsin last week. Moseley netted the go-ahead goal and eventually the game-winning tally in a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Badgers.
Looking for his first goal of the year, Moseley broke through with two in a midweek victory. He proved to be too much for the Badger defense to stop as he broke through behind the backline twice to post his third multiple-goal game.
The Duluth, Ga., native got on the board for the first time in 2017 in the 46th minute, putting the Blue Devils up 3-2 over the Badgers. After Wisconsin equalized on a free kick in the 76th minute, Moseley needed just 90 seconds to put Duke back in front.
His game-winner came on a fantastic ball from freshman goalkeeper Will Pulisic over the heads of the Badger defense. Moseley ran onto and calmly buried it for his second goal of the half.
Duke, ranked 19th nationally, is 7-1-1 overall on the year, the best record through nine games since the 2006 did the same. The Blue Devils host No. 8 Louisville Saturday night at 7 p.m., on ACC Network Extra.
