Tynan Earns Second ACC Weekly Honor
Senior forward Rose Tynan received weekly accolades from the ACC for the second time this season Tuesday, earning a nod as the conference’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week. A vice captain from Auckland, New Zealand, Tynan notched the game-winning goal in two Duke victories last weekend. She had the lone tally in a 1-0 shutout of No. 18 Virginia and put the Blue Devils ahead of No. 22 Old Dominion for good in the 37th minute of Sunday’s road matchup. Tynan surpassed the 40-goal mark for her career against the Monarchs.

This week, Tynan ranks second in the conference in points per game (2.07) and third in goals per game (0.86).

Duke extended its win streak to five straight contests with a 5-1 victory at No. 22 Old Dominion Sunday. Senior forward Rose Tynan scored twice to lead the Blue Devils to their 11th win of the season.

Last fall, Duke won six straight contests in September before putting together a seven-game streak in October.
