Prior to Duke: Claimed gold in the 400 at the 2014 Virginia 5A State Meet as a junior, clocking a 55.52...finished first in the 200 and 400 and second in the 100 at the 2014 outdoor conference meet…as a senior, captured sixth in the 400 at the outdoor state meet…repeated as champion in the indoor 500, finishing atop the competition in 2014 and 2015 at the indoor state championships.
