COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior Madeline Kopp qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 800m and competed this evening in College State, Texas, on the campus of Texas A&M.

Kopp clocked in at 2:07.28 to place 13th in a fast 800m preliminary heat to garner second team All-America accolades, and entered the weekend ranked No. 16 in the country.

Kopp has seen great success in her senior indoor campaign as she transitioned from to the 800m for the first time in her career. The Rochester, N.Y., native clocked the third fastest time in Duke history at the ACC Indoor Championships in a time of 2:04.60.

Kopp’s teammate junior Madison Heath will compete in women’s pole vault tomorrow evening at 5 p.m.
