DURHAM, N.Y. - Former runner and current volunteer assistant coach Madeline Kopp was named the Doriane Lambelet Award Winner as announced by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame on Sunday afternoon.
Kopp concluded her collegiate career last spring at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. There she was named second team All-American in both the 800m and the 4x400m relay. She also earned second team All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 800m.
The Rochester, N.Y. native is in the top-five records all-time at Duke in 18 different events. She is the school record holder in the indoor 400m, 500m, 600m, the 4x200m relay, and the 4x400m relay as well as the outdoor 400m, the 4x100m relay, the 4x200m relay and the 4x400m relay.
