OTTAWA, Canada – Former Duke track and field All-American Maddy Price had a great start to her time at the Canadian Track & Field Championships on Friday, as she won her heat in the 400m at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility in Ottawa, Canada to advance to the finals on Saturday.

With a time of 53.20, Price captured first in the second heat of the day in the 400m. She will take on the eight-person field for the title Saturday, with the event set to start at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The 400m is not Price’s only action of the weekend, as she will compete in the third heat of the 200m on Saturday as well, slated to start at 1:20 p.m. Should she advance, she will compete in the 200m finals at 6:05 p.m.
