PINEHURST, N.C. – Following 36 holes of stroke play qualifying at the North & South Women’s Amateur, Duke University sophomore Gina Kim has moved on to match play at Pinehurst No. 2.
Kim turned in rounds of 73 and 75 for a six-over, 148, and received the No. 22 seed in match play. A product of Chapel Hill, N.C., Kim will face 11th-seeded Gurleen Kaur in the first round beginning at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 17.
An All-America selection as a rookie at Duke, Kim posted one birdie Tuesday’s second round, on No. 16.
Allisen Corpuz received the No. 1 seed, after turning in a 3-under, 139, in qualifying.
Senior Ana Belac signed for rounds of 80 and 75 on her way to missing the cut.
