DURHAM, N.C. – Three Duke student-athletes were tabbed to the 2017 All-ACC Academic Men's Outdoor Track & Field Team as announced by the conference Wednesday.

The Blue Devils that received the honor were graduate student Daniel Golubovic, senior Connor Hall and freshman Michael Marsack. 2017 marks the trios first career outdoor selection while Golubovic and Hall secured indoor recognition earlier this year in addition to Hall's 2015 indoor honor.

Virginia Tech led all selections with 12, followed by Virginia (5), NC State (4), Duke (3), North Carolina (3), Notre Dame (3), Syracuse (3) and Wake Forest (3), Florida State (2), Georgia Tech (2) and Louisville (2) and Clemson (1) and Miami (1).

As a graduate student, Golubovic saw great success during the outdoor campaign, highlighted by second team All-America accolades in the decathlon at the NCAA Championships earlier in June. The Los Angeles, Calif., native also claimed gold in the decathlon at the ACC Championships and currently owns the second-best point total in Duke history, 7,717.

Hall soared to new heights during his senior campaign as he claimed the pole vault school record at the NCAA East Preliminary Round with a clearance of 17-6.50 (5.35). The product of San Luis Obispo, Calif., received All-America honorable mention honors following his performance earlier in June at the NCAA Championships and picked up first team All-ACC distinction in May.

In his first collegiate competition, Marsack registered the fourth-best throw in Duke history in the javelin with a mark of 214-10 (65.48) and collected second team All-ACC recognition with a sixth-place finish at the conference championships.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team. Every member of the 2017 All-ACC Men's Track and Field Academic Team earned All-America and/or All-ACC honors, competed in the NCAA finals or was selected as an ACC Performer of the Week during the regular season.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
