DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke men’s golf will welcome back alumni and supporters this weekend for the inaugural Blue Devil Cup. Sparked through conversations between head coach Jamie Green, the current team and alumni, the event will bring together the Duke men’s golf family in Durham this weekend.
The weekend starts with the Blue Devil Cup tournament. Two-man alumni teams will join current team members in a best ball event as they compete against one another for the title on Friday afternoon at Duke Golf Club.
A private dinner on Friday evening in the new Champions Club in Cameron Indoor Stadium will bring together the past and current team members for a great evening, featuring head coach Jamie Green, current team members and more with an inside look at the men’s golf program.
Saturday morning will feature a pregame tailgate event at the Rod Myers Building presented by PXG with a chance for alumni and team members to mix and mingle as well as see the latest technology Duke men’s golf uses in the team practice area.
The entire group will head to the Duke-Northwestern football game where last season’s ACC Championship Duke men’s golf team will be honored on the field during the game.
Notable returnees include current PGA Tour member Ryan Blaum, Web.com Tour member Adam Long, retired PGA Tour player Joe Ogilvie, all members from the 2017 ACC Championship team, former All-Americas John Karcher, Jason Widener, and Michael Schachner as well as former head coach O.D.
