CARNOUSTIE, Scotland -- Former Duke University golfer Julian Suri is set for the 147th Open Championship, which begins Thursday morning at the famed Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.
It is the second career major start for Suri, who also played in the 2017 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. The three-time All-ACC selection, who graduated from Duke in 2013, has played in seven events on the PGA Tour this season, with his best finish being a tie for eighth at the Houston Open in April. He’s made the cut in six of his seven starts.
Suri is paired for the first two rounds at Carnoustie with Pat Perez and George Coetzee, and threesome is off at 4:14 a.m. ET (9:14 a.m. local) on Thursday morning.
Golf Channel will air live coverage of the Open Championship beginning at 1:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday.
