DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Duke University alumnae Laetitia Beck and Sandy Choi will be two of 165 golfers looking to obtain their 2018 LPGA Tour Card when stage III of LPGA Qualifying School opens Wednesday in Daytona Beach, Fla. The action will take place Nov. 29 through Dec. 3 with 90 holes of stroke play.

Stage III will be contested on the Hills and Jones Courses at LPGA International. Following 72 holes of stroke play, the low 70 players and ties will advance to the final day. At the end, the top 20 will earn full LPGA status for the 2018 campaign, while No. 21-45 finishers will earn conditional LPGA status.

A 2017 Duke graduate, Choi is coming off placing tied fifth at stage II of qualifying with rounds of 69, 69, 70 and 72 for an eight-under-par ledger. Cho, who is from Seoul, South Korea, was a three-time All-ACC selection with the Blue Devils.

A native of Caesarea, Israel, Beck will be looking to go 3-for-3 at LPGA Stage III qualifying over the last three years, after earning her tour card in each of the last two tournaments. In 2016, she placed 13th and in 2015 Beck was ninth. Since earning her tour card in 2015, Beck has collected $185,059 earnings. Beck was a two-time All-America with the Blue Devils and helped Duke claim the 2014 NCAA Championship.
