AUBURN, Ala. – Four different Blue Devils carded under par rounds Monday as the fifth-ranked Duke women’s golf team registered a tied for best round of the day at nine-under-par at the Evans Derby Experience. Duke will enter the final round only five shots off the lead and in second overall at the 6,280-yard, par 72 Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.

Jaravee Boonchant, Leona Maguire, Miranda Wang and Lisa Maguire signed for under par scores Monday as the Blue Devils turned in a nine-under, 279. Arkansas also shot nine-under-par and moved into the team lead with a 17-under-par, 559. Duke is five shots back with a 12-under, 564, as the Blue Devils notched 17 birdies in the second round.

Boonchant, Wang and Maguire will enter the final round in the top 10, after combining to shoot eight-under Monday.

A product of Bangkok, Thailand, Boonchant opened her day with a double-bogey, but came back to play her next 17 holes with a bogey-free five-under outing. She featured a birdie on the 385-yard, par four fifth and then nearly holed out for eagle on the par five seventh as she hit her pitching wedge from 108 yards to within a foot for birdie. Boonchant rolled in a 24-foot putt on No. 12 and added birdies on No. 13 and No. 16 on her way to finishing with a three-under, 69. It marked her fifth round in the 60s this season as a rookie. Boonchant hit 11 fairways, 15 greens and had 29 putts on the day.

Arkansas’ Maria Fassi continues to lead the individual race with a 13-under, 131.

With a career-best score of bogey-free, three-under-par, 69, Wang will enter the final round tied sixth overall with a four-under ledger. She notched three birdies on the day, all within three feet as Wang was dialed in with her approach shots. Wang, who is from Beijing, China., missed only two fairways and three greens on the around and was 3-of-3 on up-and-downs. After missing two out of the first three fairways to start the day, she didn’t miss another the rest of the round. At one point, Wang hit 10 straight greens, while turning in 30 putts.

Maguire posted her 13th under-par score of the season and 75th of her career with a two-under, 70, Monday. After opening with a par on the No. 2 hole, Maguire collected birdies on No. 3, No. 7 and No. 13 to move to three-under-par for the day. She closed with five pars and a bogey on No. 17 to finish the day. Maguire is tied 10th with a 141 through 36 holes.

Belac, who hails from Portoroz, Slovenia, started her round on No. 4 and had a bogey on the sixth hole, before collecting her first of three birdies on the day on the 488-yard, par five seventh from four feet. She moved into the red with a 15-foot birdie on No. 10, but then hit a tough stretch with bogeys on 15, 16 and 17. Belac came back with a five-foot birdie on the 358-yard, par four 18th to get back to one-over for the day. She then closed with three straight pars to finish with a one-over, 73. Belac is tied 30th overall with a 146, after hitting 13 greens, 12 fairways and rolling 33 putts in the second round.

Senior Lisa Maguire posted her first under par ledger since her freshman campaign as she collected a one-under-par, 71, Monday. Maguire, who is from Cavan, Ireland, teed off on No. 5 to kick off her day. She notched three pars, before chipping in for birdie on the 160-yard, par three eighth hole from 25 yards with a 58-degree lob wedge.

Maguire had a bogey on No. 11, but came back to birdie the par five 12th to return to the red digits. She went on to register eight straight pars heading into her 17th hole. Maguire suffered only her second bogey of the day on No. 3, but came back to birdie the 497-yard, par five fourth to close the day. She hit eight fairways, 11 greens and had 28 pulls on the day.

Duke will tee off Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. (ET) with a shotgun start along with Arkansas, Florida State and Alabama in the final round.
