DURHAM, N.C. – Coming off leading the talent-laden field at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate for the first 36 holes and then falling to fifth place in the season opener, the Duke women’s golf team gets set to resume action at the 11th Annual Windy City Collegiate Classic. The event will take place Oct. 1-2 at the 6,360-yard, Par 72 Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 on Tuesday.
Competing in 2018 will be Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Iowa State, Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, San Diego State, South Carolina and Southern California.
Belac, who hails from Portoroz, Slovenia, is coming off a fourth place finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate as she shot a career-best 10-under, 206 with rounds of 68, 65 and 73. She matched a course record in the second round with her seven-under, 65.
Recent team champions for the event includes Arizona State (2017), Georgia (2016), Arizona, Georgia and Northwestern (2015) and Southern California (2014).
