DURHAM, N.C. – One week remains in the 2018 regular season as No. 10 Duke travels to Georgia Tech for a three-game ACC road series Thursday-Saturday, May 17-19 at the Yellow Jackets’ Russ Chandler Stadium.
Duke (38-12, 17-9 ACC) and Georgia Tech (29-24, 12-15 ACC) square off in the series opener at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 17, resume the series at 6 p.m., Friday, May 18 and conclude the weekend at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 19. ACC Network Extra is set to broadcast all three games.
The Blue Devils and the Yellow Jackets have both clinched spots in the 2018 ACC Championship. Duke sits 1.5 games back of North Carolina for the ACC Coastal Division lead, while Georgia Tech is currently in fourth place it the division. Duke has won eight of its past 10 games and enters the weekend as a consensus top 10 team.
The two programs share 115 years of history on the diamond with Georgia Tech leading Duke 92-38 in the all-time series. The two teams have split the past 10 meetings after the Blue Devils won this past season’s matchup at Jack Coombs Field.
Duke’s Mitch Stallings (3-3, 4.56 ERA) takes the mound opposite Georgia Tech’s Xzavion Curry (7-3, 4.07 ERA) in the series opener Thursday before Ryan Day (5-2, 3.83 ERA) and Connor Thomas (6-3, 2.73 ERA) face off Friday. Sunday starters for both squads are to be announced.
