DURHAM, N.C. - The 22nd-ranked Duke women’s tennis team will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., next weekend for NCAA Championship first and second round matches, as the Blue Devils take on 36th-ranked Louisiana State at the University of North Carolina’s Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center at noon on Saturday, May 12.

Host 11th-ranked North Carolina (21-8) will meet Marist (12-1), who received its first ever NCAA berth on the strength of a MAAC Championship, on Saturday at 10 a.m., before Duke (11-10) and LSU (16-9) square off at 1 p.m.

The winner of those matches will meet on Sunday at 1 p.m., with the winner of that match advancing to the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga.

Gates will open at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

The Blue Devils are coming off a 4-0 loss to fifth-ranked Georgia Tech in an ACC Championship quarterfinal matchup on April 20. In first round action, Duke defeated Virginia Tech, 4-0, before falling to the eventual ACC Champion Yellow Jackets.
