DURHAM, N.C. - After wrapping up the regular season Sunday with a 4-0 victory over Boston College, fourth-ranked Duke has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2019 ACC Women's Tennis Championship, which runs from Wednesday to Sunday at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
The Blue Devils will play the winner of No. 10 Notre Dame versus No. 10 Pittsburgh/No. 7 Virginia at 5 p.m., on Friday in the quarterfinal.
North Carolina garnered the No. 1 seed with a 13-0 conference ledger and join Duke, No. 3 Florida State and No. 4 NC State with the double-byes to Friday's quarterfinal.
Last season, the Blue Devils fell to North Carolina, 4-2, in the final of the ACC Championship.
Shawn Kenney returns to handle play-by-play of the championships, with live coverage set from 10 a.m., through 5 p.m., on the tournament's final two days. Former Duke standout and ESPN anchor Prim Siripipat will also be on hand in Cary to work as an analyst for the women's championship. Melanie Newman is back for her third year as sideline reporter.
