Duke Academy of Golf
The 2018 Duke Academy of Golf is directed by women's golf head coach Dan Brooks and is for boys and girls ages 11 and older. In Duke's history its athletics department has won 16 NCAA National Championships in all sports combined – Dan Brooks and his golf program have won six of those championships since 1999. Inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016, Coach Brooks is the all-time winningest coach in the history of collegiate golf with 128 tournament wins, and his squads have secured the ACC Championship 19 times during his career at Duke. This is the 21st year of the nationally well-known and popular Duke Academy of Golf, while Coach Brooks has been involved in running a golf camp at Duke for 34 years.
Over the years, students have come from 39 states and numerous foreign countries to participate in the Academy and benefit from the outstanding instruction. On average, 45-55 students come per week to the Academy for an excellent experience. Our coaches are all PGA Teaching Professionals, collegiate coaches, and/or have significant experience teaching at golf schools. Our counselors are either current or former collegiate golfers. Every aspect of the game will be addressed, not only actual work on our beautiful practice facilities and golf course, but also nutrition, rules, strategy, and more.
Dates for the summer of 2018 are set for June 9-14 and June 16-21.
