DURHAM, N.C.— For the 11th time under the direction of head coach Joanne P. McCallie, the Duke women’s basketball team officially tipped off practice for the 2017-18 campaign Wednesday. With a tremendous amount of excitement surrounding the program, the Blue Devils worked for nearly three hours in the Michael W. Krzyzewski Center.

Duke returns four starts, including preseason All-America candidates Lexie Brown and Rebecca Greenwell. The Blue Devil tandem were the highest scoring duo in the ACC a year ago and feature an excellent nucleus around them to contend for championships in 2017-18.

Rebecca Fiorentino of the Blue Devil Network was there at practice Wednesday to capture highlights and talk with the squad following the workout.

Duke will head to ACC Media Day Thursday, Oct. 19 and then will host the annual Blue/White Scrimmage Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
