DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University Vice President and Director of Athletics Kevin White announced on Wednesday the promotion of four athletic department members including Elinor Hurt, Todd Mesibov, Bob Weiseman and Hap Zarzour.
Hurt and Zarzour elevate to join the senior leadership team under White. Hurt serves as Duke’s Executive Director of Ticket Operations, while Zarzour is the department’s Executive Director of Athletic Medicine and chairman of the newly-created Integrative Performance Excellence Group.
Hurt has been with the athletic department since her graduation from Duke in 2009. A 1982 graduate of Bowling Green University who holds a master’s degree from Western Michigan University, Zarzour has worked with Blue Devil athletics since 1992.
Mesibov and Weiseman both earn promotions to Senior Associate Director of Athletics after previously serving as Associate Directors.
Overseeing Duke’s compliance group while serving as the lead administrator for the softball program, Mesibov, who holds an undergraduate degree from Carleton (Minn.) College and law degree from the University of Michigan, joined the Blue Devil staff in 2006. Weiseman, a 2000 graduate of Lynchburg College, has been a member of the Duke Athletics staff since 2008, manages the department’s facilities, game operations and championships units and adds primary sport administrative responsibilities with the Blue Devil men’s and women’s fencing programs to his list of duties.
