A-Z MATCH DAY GUIDE

*Please note the January 6th match vs. Penn is located in Card Gym. All information specific to this event has been noted in italics within its respective section

 

ACCESSIBILITY ACCOMMODATIONS
Please find below a list of disability services currently provided at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Prior to game day, please feel free to reach out to our disabilities coordinator at 919-668-6213 to help make arrangements for your visit or if you have any special needs, questions or concerns regarding our accessibility and accommodations. 

 

  • General Public Accessible Parking for Guests with Disabilities – is available in the Whitford Lot (GPS Address: 110 Whitford Drive, Durham, NC 27708) located off Whitford Drive. Whitford drive can be accessed off Science Drive via either 751/Cameron Blvd or Towerview Rd. There will be a parking attendant on-site and no charge to park in the lot. The lot will open two (2) hours prior to the start of the match. If additional events cross over with a wrestling match, alternative parking may be required and will be communicated in a Parking & Traffic Alert on www.goduke.com/gameday.

 

  • Accessible Drop-Off/Pick-Up Point – an accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is available in the Whitford Drive Circle (GPS Address: 110 Whitford Drive, Durham, NC 27708).

 

  • Accessible Pedestrian Route to Cameron Indoor Stadium – if guests elect to park in other designated game day parking lots, accessible pedestrian routes are available.
    • From Frank Bassett Drive/Science Drive Garage to Cameron Indoor Stadium – begins at the intersection of Frank Bassett Drive and Science Drive and follows the sidewalk through Morris Williams Stadium to Whitford Drive.
    • From the Grounds Lot –  follow the walkway along the west side of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Use the accessible ramp at the Bostock Gate next to the Scott Family Performance Center/Murray Building to access the Rubenstein Pavilion Entrance of Cameron Indoor Stadium.
    • Accessible pedestrian routes into Card Gym follow the same paths as above.

 

  • Accessible Entrances – All general public entrance to Cameron Indoor Stadium at Rubenstein Pavilion, the South Hall of Honor, Morton Plaza, and the Hall of Fame are accessible for guests with disabilities. All stadium doors open one (1) hour prior to the match.
    • Accessible entrance into Card Gym is available on the west side of Card Gym along the sidewalk between Cameron Indoor Stadium and Card Gym as well as on the NE corner of the gym adjacent to the main entrance to the Wilson Rec Center.

 

  • Seating for Guests with Disabilities - is available on a first come, first serve basis depending on the availability of the chairs located on the court on either side of the scorer’s table in front of Section 19. Signage will be posted directing patrons to this seating area. If you are in need of assistance or information, please ask for the Match Manager at the southeast corner of the Stadium.
    • Accessible seating is located at the corners of the mat in Card Gym. Folding chairs are available upon request for companions seating.

 

  • Wheelchairs and Assistive Devices - Wheelchairs and assistive devices are permitted in Cameron Indoor Stadium. All general public entrances to Cameron Indoor Stadium are accessible. An elevator in Rubenstein Pavilion provides access to the lobby and the upper concourse (behind Section 2). Assistive devices (including walkers) may be stored under the bleachers on the lower level and just outside the section vomitory on the upper level concourse.  These devices may not impede aisles, walkways, or section entrances.  Please locate Event Staff at the entrance for assistance with any devices.
    • Wheelchairs and assistive devices are permitted in Card Gym. Assistive devices may be stored next to or behind the bleachers located around the perimeter of the mat.

 

  • Elevator - There is elevator access between the Rubenstein Pavilion Lobby on the lower level to the upper concourse behind Section 2 next to the Champions Club.

 

  • Accessible Concessions Window – is located on the lower level in the North Lobby behind Section 18. When looking at the concessions stand, the accessible window is located at the door on the far right of the stand. Directional signage will be posted in the lobby.  Concessions are open 30 minutes prior to the start of the match.
    • Concessions are not available for any patrons during wrestling matches at Card Gym.

 

  • Accessible Restrooms for Guests with Disabilities – All men’s and women’s restrooms are accessible for guests with disabilities. On court level, Men’s Restrooms are located in the North Lobby between Section 18 and off the South Lobby in Room 109. Women’s Restrooms are located in the South Lobby behind Section 20. On the upper level, Men’s Restrooms are located behind Sections 1 and 9 and Women’s Restrooms are located behind Sections 4,6 and 12. Gender neutral accessible family restrooms (Room 103T and 104T) are located on the lower level off the South Lobby.
    • Accessible restrooms are located in the Wilson Rec Center next to the weight room. Directional signage is posted in the facility to help direct patrons.

 

  • Gender Neutral Accessible Family Restroom – There are two gender neutral accessible family restrooms (Room 103T and Room 104T) located on the lower level of Cameron Indoor Stadium on the southeast corner off of the South Lobby. The restrooms are accessible for guests with disabilities and provide changing tables for families with small children.
    • A gender neutral restroom can be made available upon request for events in Card Gym. Please locate Duke Game Operations Match Manager for assistance.

 

  • Lactation Room - There is an accessible lactation room (Room 102) located on the lower level of Cameron Indoor Stadium on the southeast corner off of the south lobby.
    • A lactation room can be made available upon request for events in Card Gym. Please locate Duke Game Operations Match Manager for assistance.

 

  • Assistive Listening Devices - Assistive listening devices are available on game day for those in need. Guests needing assistive listening devices should visit the Marketing table located in front of section 20 and ask staff to contact the Match Manager with their seating location. Game Operations staff will meet the guest and deliver the device. Post-match, guests should return the device to the Marketing table.

 

  • Emergency Evacuation - If an emergency evacuation arises, event staff will be available to persons with disabilities who request assistance in exiting the stadium.  The primary accessible exit for the accessible seating area on court level is Rubenstein Pavilion and Morton Plaza. Upper level emergency exits are located on the concourse behind Sections 13 and 16.  All emergency PA announcements are accompanied by visual messaging on the stadium video board.
    • All emergency exits in Card Gym are accessible and event staff will be available to persons with disabilities who request assistance in exiting the gym. Please follow the directions of the PA announcer, event staff and emergency responders.

ALCOHOL

It is strictly prohibited to bring alcohol into Cameron Indoor Stadium or Card Gym. Individuals violating this policy are subject to removal from the facility.

 

ATM MACHINES

The BB&T ATM is located outside Scott Family Athletics Performance Center next to the Duke Ticket Office windows.  The ATM only dispenses cash ($20 increments) and does not take deposits.

BAG POLICY

Backpacks/bags larger than 8” x 11” x 12” (exception: Medical & childcare reasons) are not permitted in Cameron Indoor Stadium. All bags permitted in the stadium are subject to bag checks upon arrival.

BANNERS AND SIGNS

Banners and signs are permitted inside Cameron Indoor Stadium; however, Duke reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other fans, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement, or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate, or derogatory.

 

CAMERA POLICY

Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use only. A camera with a lens longer than four (4) inches is not permitted into Cameron Indoor Stadium.  Video cameras are permitted to be used during warm-ups and between matches. Video cameras are prohibited from filming the dual.

 

CONCESSIONS

A great variety of food items and Coca-Cola products are available from the concession stand located in the north lobby of Cameron Indoor Stadium behind Section 18. Blue Devil Concessions operates the concession stands in Cameron Indoor Stadium. An Accessible Concessions Window is located here as well. When looking at the concessions stand, the accessible window is located at the door on the far right. Concessions are open 30 minutes prior to the start of the match.

  • Concessions are not available for any patrons during wrestling matches at Card Gym.

 

CONDUCT
Duke Athletics expects all guests to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the dual. We expect all guests to treat other guests, players, coaches and officials with courtesy. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere at Cameron Indoor Stadium/Card Gym by not:

  • Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the match
  • Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures
  • Appearing to be intoxicated or in a diminished capacity
  • Entering the competition or restricted access areas
  • Smoking except in designated areas
  • Throwing objects onto the mat or within the venue
  • Otherwise being disorderly

 

Guests should contact the Match Manager, located in the southeast corner of the court, if they feel someone is not acting appropriately inside or outside the facility. Violators are subject to removal from the facility and possible arrest. You can also contact us on Twitter at @Duke_GAMEDAY to report any game day problems, unruly guests, or suspicious activity.

DOORS (ENTRANCE INTO STADIUM)
All doors to Cameron Indoor Stadium will open 1 hour prior to the start of the match. Patrons with purses, bags, and strollers are subject to searches. General public entrances are located at Rubenstein Pavilion, the South Hall of Honor and North Lobby. All entrances are accessible.

  • All doors to Card Gym will open one (1) hour prior to the start of the match. Patrons with purses, bags, and strollers are subject to searches. General public entrances are located on the west side of Card Gym along the sidewalk between Cameron Indoor Stadium and Card Gym as well as on the NE corner of the gym adjacent to the main entrance to the Wilson Rec Center.

 

ELEVATOR

There is elevator access between the Rubenstein Pavilion Lobby on the lower level to the upper concourse behind Section 2 next to the Champions Club.

 

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
In case of emergency, contact the nearest Duke Athletics staff member or call Duke Police at (919) 684-2444. Blue light emergency phones are located in the game day parking areas.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

  • During any emergency inside the stadium, follow the directions of the PA announcer, Duke Athletics staff and emergency responders. All emergency PA announcements are accompanied by visual messaging on the stadium video board.
  • Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the stadium to meet friends and family in case you get separated or in the event of an emergency. Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency. Exits are located at:
    • Rubenstein Pavilion (Accessible Exit) – Sections 17, 19, 20
    • North Lobby (Accessible Exit) – Sections 17, 18, 19
    • South Hall of Honor (Accessible Exit) – Sections 1-4, 15, 16
    • East Staircase (Not Accessible) – Sections 5-8
    • Hall of Fame (Accessible Exit) – Section 9-14
    • Legacy Room (Not Accessible) Sections 18, 19
  • If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or causes you concern, report the activity to the nearest police office or event staff.  Patrons may also tweet @Duke_GAMEDAY.
  • Emergency vehicles may be present in and around the stadium. Please do not obstruct the path of travel of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with any of their operations.  Vehicles or objects (tables, tents, etc.) blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials. Vehicles are subject to being towed at the owner's expense. 
  • Monitor the weather prior to the match. Take the necessary precautions to protect your family and friends should severe weather be encountered before, during, or after the match.
  • In the event of a stadium evacuation, Duke Athletics staff will be available to guests with disabilities who request assistance in exiting the stadium.  The primary accessible exit for the accessible seating area on court level is Rubenstein Pavilion.  Additional accessible exits on court level are located in the North Lobby. Additional accessible exits on the upper concourse are located at the South Hall of Honor and the Exit Only Doors behind Sections 13 and 16.  All emergency PA announcements are accompanied by visual messaging on the stadium video board.

HOTELS

 

LACTATION ROOM

There is a new accessible lactation room (Room 102) located on the lower level of Cameron Indoor Stadium on the southeast corner off of the south lobby.

  • A lactation room can be made available upon request for events in Card Gym. Please locate Match Manager for assistance.

LOST AND FOUND

If any article is lost or found in the stadium, please inquire about or report the item to the Match Manager located in the southeast corner of the court.  Any items turned in during the match will be given to the Match Manager.  All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the match will be available for pick-up the following business day by contacting Duke Athletic Facilities & Game Operations at (919) 668-5658 or duaa-gameops@duke.edu to inquire about lost item(s). Unclaimed lost and found items will be retained for thirty (30) days following the event. After that time, any unclaimed items will be discarded.

MERCHANDISE
There is no in-stadium merchandise sales for regular season Duke Wrestling competition. The Johnson Family Team Store located on West Campus in the Scott Family Athletics Performance Center, across from the Rubenstein Pavilion Entrance to Cameron Indoor Stadium. Store hours can be found online by visiting dukestores.duke.edu/hours.

PARKING INFORMATION

  • Wrestling Parking Map
  • Note - If wrestling matches coincide with other West Campus events, alternate parking arrangements may be required. Specific details will be provided in a parking and traffic alert on www.GoDuke.com/gameday.
  • Parking Lot Hours – all designated game day parking lots open two (2) hours to the start of the match. All cars must be removed from the parking lots by two (2) hours post-match.
  • General Public Parking – is located in the Grounds Lot (GPS Address: 110 Frank Bassett Drive) with all entry/exit via Frank Bassett Drive.
  • Accessible Parking for Guests with Disabilities – is located in the Whitford Lot on Whitford Drive (GPS Address: 110 Whitford Drive). Please speak to the parking attendant for assistance.
  • Accessible Drop-Off/Pick-Up Point - An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for guests with disabilities is available at the Whitford Circle, located at the end of Whitford Drive.
  • Pedestrian Routes to Cameron Indoor Stadium/Card Gym
    • From the Grounds Lot follow the walkway along the west side of Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Access into Tribull Plaza on the south side of Cameron Indoor Stadium is through the stairwells located outside Bostock Gate. The accessible access to Tribull Plaza is via the ramp located next to the Scott Family Performance Center/Murray Building.
    • From Frank Bassett Drive near Science Drive, head north up the stairs and walk along the east side of Morris Williams Stadium (track) which will lead directly to Whitford Drive.
    • Accessible routes from Frank Bassett Drive begin at the corner of Bassett Drive and Science Drive. Make way towards Morris Williams Stadium/Koskinen Stadium and take a left to follow the pathway along the east side of Morris Williams Stadium. This will lead directly to Whitford Drive.
  • Parking Disclaimer Duke University assumes no responsibility for loss through fire, theft, collision, or otherwise to the car or contents. Vehicles are parked at Owner's Risk. Please lock your vehicle.
  • Parking Emergency Information In case of emergency please dial 9-1-1 for Durham County or 919-684-2444 for Duke Police Emergency Dispatch.  Duke Police will be the primary responder on-campus for emergency calls.  Durham Police will be the primary responder off-campus for emergency calls.  If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location. 
  • Tailgating Tailgating is permitted in the Whitford Drive and Grounds Lots. Tents, tables, tarps or canopies ARE NOT permitted if they impede foot or vehicular traffic or if they extend into additional parking space.

 

PETS
All pets (including dogs) are prohibited inside Cameron Indoor Stadium. (Exception: Service animals are allowed to assist guests with disabilities)

PRESS ROW, MEDIA ROOM AND SCORER’S TABLE ACCESS
Only Duke personnel or approved media and photographers will be allowed into the press areas. All media or photographers should contact the Duke Sports Information office at least (2) days prior to the day of the match to confirm approval.  

PROGRAMS AND GIVEAWAYS
Game programs are available for free on a first come, first serve at the marketing table located in front of section 20.

 

PROHIBITED ITEMS
For the safety and game day experience of all fans, the following items are prohibited from entering the facility:

  • Alcoholic beverages 
  • All Drones and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) – https://drones.duke.edu/policies
  • Artificial noisemakers 
  • Backpacks/bags larger than 8” x 11” x 12” (exception: Medical & childcare reasons) 
  • Balloons 
  • Balls and Frisbees 
  • Cameras w/lens over 4 inches 
  • Coolers and Containers (ice chests, thermoses, cups, bottles, or other like containers) 
  • Hazardous Materials 
  • Illegal Drugs
  • Items obstructing sightlines of other fans (umbrellas may not be raised in the seating bowl) 
  • Laser Pointers 
  • Outside chairs (lounge chairs, folding chairs, etc.) Outside food and beverage (exception: medical & childcare reasons)  
  • Pets (except service animals) 
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Shoes with wheels (wheelies) 
  • Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)

 

Duke University reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the stadium.  Any such items should be returned to your vehicle and/or discarded.  All fans are subject to be searched before entering the stadium. 

 

For the safety of all in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside of Cameron Indoor Stadium or Card Gymnasium.  Unattended bags/items found outside the facility will be dealt with in in a manner deemed appropriate by venue officials, including but not limited to disposal.  Duke University and Duke Athletics are not responsible for loss of any unattended items.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms in Cameron Indoor Stadium open at the same time as the doors open.  Men’s Restrooms are located behind Sections 1 and 9 on the upper level, the lower level and in the North Lobby behind Section 18, and in the South Lobby (Room 108).  Women’s Restrooms are located behind sections 4, 6 and 12 on the upper level, on the lower level in the southwest corner between section 17 and 20, and in the South Lobby (Room 107). All men's and women's restrooms are accessible for persons with disabilities.  

There are two gender neutral accessible family restrooms (Room 103T and Room 104T) located on the lower level of Cameron Indoor Stadium on the southeast corner off of the south lobby. The restroom is accessible for guests with disabilities, unisex and provides a changing table for families with small children.

There is a lactation room (Room 102) located on the lower level of Cameron Indoor Stadium on the southeast corner off of the south lobby.

 

Restroooms for competition in Card Gym are located in the following locations:

Men’s Restrooms – are down the stairs located outside the west entrance to Card Gym.

Women’s Restrooms – are down the stairs located outside the set of doors on the east side of Card Gym that lead to the Wilson Rec Center.

SEATING
All seating in Cameron Indoor Stadium for Duke Wrestling matches is general admission. Accessible seating is available on court level in front of Section 19 adjacent to the scorer’s table. If you are in need of assistance or information, please ask any Duke Athletics staff member to contact the Match Manager.

SMOKING

Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not allowed in Cameron Indoor Stadium.  Smoking is permitted outside of the stadium in the designated smoking area accessed from the upper concourse behind Section 13.

 

Smoking is not allowed inside Card Gym. If you must exit the venue to smoke please do so outside the facility and away from any entry doors..

All regular season Duke home Wrestling duals at Cameron Indoor Stadium are free to the public and no tickets are necessary.


TRANSPORTATION

UMBRELLAS
Umbrellas are permitted inside Cameron Indoor Stadium/Card Gym.  For the courtesy and safety of all fans we ask that umbrellas not be opened anywhere inside Cameron Indoor Stadium/Card Gym. Please store your umbrellas under your seat so as to not affect the guests sitting around you.  Umbrellas should not be left outside of Cameron Indoor Stadium or in the concourses.
