DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt senior running back Nicodem Pierre underwent surgery Monday to address a fractured right clavicle suffered in the Blue Devils’ loss to Wake Forest. He will be out of action indefinitely.
Pierre, a native of Miami, Fla., has appeared in all 12 games this season, rushing seven times for 50 yards and one touchdown.
The surgical procedure was performed by Dr. Jonathan Riboh.
Duke finished the regular season at 7-5 overall and 3-5 in ACC play. The Blue Devils are expected to receive a bowl bid on Sunday.
