DURHAM, N.C. – After capping the 2017 season with a 36-14 victory against Northern Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl, Duke landed two selections on ESPN’s All-ACC Bowl Team with center Austin Davis and linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.

Davis, a redshirt senior captain from Mansfield, Texas, helped pave the way for an offensive output that included 465 total yards (252 pass and 213 rush), 27 first downs, 38:21 time of possession, 92 total snaps and a combined 12-of-22 performance on third (10-19) and fourth (2-3) downs with zero turnovers and zero penalties. The Blue Devils set or tied Quick Lane Bowl team records for total touchdowns (five), first downs, rushing attempts (52), rushing scores (three), total plays (92) and time of possession.

Giles-Harris, a redshirt sophomore All-America from Nyack, N.Y., carded eight tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss and two quarterback pressures. He guided the Duke defense which allowed 299 total yards (65 rush and 234 pass), 13 first downs and a combined 1-of-18 on third (1-12) and fourth (0-6) downs. The 65 rushing yards surrendered set the Quick Lane Bowl team record. Giles-Harris and the defense were particularly strong in the second half, surrendering just 88 total yards and no points.
