Duke plays the back end of a two-game road stretch by traveling to meet Miami on Saturday, November 3 ... Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
• Beginning with the September 22 contest versus N.C. Central, an “MD” helmet decal will be donned by the Blue Devils to honor Duke Athletics Hall of Fame member Mary Dinkins, who passed away on Tuesday, September 4, at the age of 68
• This past Saturday, Pittsburgh snapped a 45-45 tie with five seconds to go on a 25-yard touchdown pass en route to a 54-45 victory over the Blue Devils ... The two teams combined for 99 points, 57 first downs, 1,253 total offensive yards and six touchdowns covering 25-plus yards ... The loss overshadowed individual performances by Duke RB Deon Jackson (school single-game record 403 all-purpose yards) and QB Daniel Jones (396 passing yards & 4 TDs)
• Saturday’s game will mark the 16th on the gridiron between the two schools with Miami leading the series, 13-2 ... The series began in 1976 with a 20-7 win for the Blue Devils ... The Hurricanes have won 12-of-13 meetings since joining the ACC in 2005 ... Duke’s last win over Miami came in 2013 (48-30 in Durham)
• This week’s tilt features the ACC’s top passing defense in Miami against a Duke air attack that leads the league in TD-to-INT ratio (21:4) ... The Hurricanes rank second in the conference in INTs with 12 while the Blue Devils have thrown a league-low four INTs (tied with Georgia Tech & Virginia Tech) to go along with tossing an ACC-best 21 scoring passes
• The Duke offense features three players — TE Davis Koppenhaver (5), WR Johnathan Lloyd (5) & WR T.J. Rahming (6) — who have 5+ TD receptions each ... Duke is the only school in the ACC with multiple players with 5+ TD receptions
• Last week at Pittsburgh, Duke QB Daniel Jones set single-game career highs for passing yards (396), total offensive yards (434) and passing TDs (4)
• Duke QB Daniel Jones owns a season pass efficiency rating of 150.43 after posting marks of 126.28 (2016) and 111.97 (2017) in his first two campaigns
• Duke WR T.J. Rahming has caught 3+ passes in 15 consecutive games dating back to last season ... In 45 career games, Rahming has 217 receptions for 2,502 yards and 11 TDs
• With his school single-game record 403 all-purpose yards last week at Pittsburgh, Duke RB Deon Jackson joined Clemson’s Tobias Palmer (496 vs. N.C. State, 2012) and Wake Forest’s John Leach (411 vs. Maryland, 1993) as the only players in ACC history to top the 400-yard plateau in a single week
• Duke LB Joe Giles-Harris is one of five players in Duke history to register 300+ tackles and 30.0+ TFL in a career, joining Mike Junkin (513 & 36.0; 1983-86), Ryan Fowler (495 & 47.5; 2000-03), Michael Tauiliili (434 & 46.0; 2005-08) & Jeremy Cash (333 & 38.0; 2013-15)
• Dating back to the 2013 season, the Blue Devils are 39-25 (.609) in their last 64 regular season games
