DURHAM, N.C. – Junior Jessi Bartholomew was selected Duke Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Blue Devils to a pair of road ACC wins over the weekend.
Bartholomew knocked down double-digit kills and led Duke in kills in both matches, a four-set win at Georgia Tech and a straight set victory at Clemson, while also hitting a combined .382.
She put down 14 kills on 38 attempts Friday against the Yellow Jackets, also adding a pair of blocks. Bartholomew then totaled 11 kills on a blistering .588 hitting percentage Sunday at Clemson to go along with three blocks.
With her performances over the weekend, Bartholomew now has five straight contests with double-digit kills to her credit. During that span, she is averaging 3.10 kills per set and hitting .322.
Winners of four straight, the Blue Devils return to Cameron Indoor Stadium at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3 against Notre Dame.
