DURHAM, N.C. – The Blue Devils put their four-match win streak on the line this weekend, welcoming Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina and East Tennessee State to Cameron Indoor Stadium for the annual Duke Invitational Friday-Saturday, September 7-8.

Friday features four matches before the tournament concludes with a pair of Saturday contests. Duke (4-2, 0-0 ACC) opens tournament play against Cincinnati (5-1, 0-0 AAC) at 12 p.m., Friday before challenging Coastal Carolina (1-4, 0-0 Sun Belt) at 7 p.m. The Blue Devils conclude the Duke Invitational against East Tennessee State (6-1, 0-0 SoCon) at 2 p.m., Saturday. ACC Network is set to broadcast all six tournament matches.

After a 3-0 weekend at LSU’s Tiger Classic a week ago, Duke continued its winning ways Tuesday with a sweep of UNCG. Duke went without a triple-double for 12 seasons before setter/hitter Andie Shelton recorded two in the past week alone. The conference recognized Shelton as ACC Player of the Week Monday following her MVP performance in Baton Rouge.

Cincinnati is enjoying a strong start to the 2018 campaign, most recently registering wins over Colorado State, TCU and Florida State. Redshirt junior Jordan Thompson is averaging 6.11 kills per set while hitting .321 on the year to pace the Bearcats.

Back-to-back Sun Belt champion Coastal Carolina sits at 1-4 on the year following a pair of losses at Hawaii. Despite the slow start, the Chanticleers have claimed four consecutive conference titles (two Sun Belt, two Big South) and were picked to win the Sun Belt East Division this season.

East Tennessee State brings the longest win streak into the tournament, notching five consecutive victories since an August 24 setback at South Carolina. Most recently, the Buccaneers toppled Tennessee in a five-set thriller Tuesday evening in Johnson City, Tenn. The reigning SoCon champions were picked to finish second in the league to start the season.

In the midst of a seven-match homestand, the Blue Devils next welcome Elon to Cameron at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 12.
