DURHAM -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named a trio of Duke Blue Devils to its 2017-18 Honors Court, recognizing those basketball players that excelled academically this past season.
Duke’s Honors Court recipients were Grayson Allen, Justin Robinson and Brennan Besser. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be academically a junior or senior and a varsity player; have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year; and must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
Allen graduated in May with his degree in psychology and was drafted a month later in the first round by the Utah Jazz. Robinson, also a psychology major, and Besser, a political science major, are two of nine returning letterwinners for the Blue Devils in 2018-19.
