DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke University Athletic Department along with Blue Devil IMG Sports Marketing is pleased to announce the dates of the Joanne P. McCallie Radio Show for the 2017-18 campaign. The show will air from 6-7 p.m., at Tobacco Road Sports Café in Durham, N.C.
The Joanne P. McCallie show will feature eight total dates for the season beginning with the first show Monday, Dec. 4. Other confirmed dates include Dec. 11, Jan. 8, Jan. 22, Feb. 12, Feb. 21, Feb. 28 and March 5.
McCallie and host Chris Edwards will air live on Buzz Sports Radio (620 AM, 96.5 FM – Durham, 99.3 FM – Raleigh). Tobacco Road Sports Café is located at 280 S. Mangum Street in Durham and can also be found at www.tobaccoroadsportscafe.com.
Entering her 11th season at Duke, McCallie is a three-time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Coach of the Year and 2005 National Coach of the Year. Since arriving at Duke in 2007, she has guided the Blue Devils to a 274-71 overall record, nine NCAA Tournament appearances, four ACC regular season titles and three ACC Tournament titles. McCallie is only 10 victories away from reaching the 600-win mark over her 26-year stint as a head coach.
Coach P is the first Division I head coach to win a conference title in four different leagues – ACC, Big Ten, America East and the North Atlantic. She also became the first coach to be named conference coach of the year in four different leagues. McCallie reached 100 victories at Duke in only 122 contests, which is the second-quickest to ever reach 100 wins at a school.
