GREENSBORO, N.C. – With the 2017-18 Women’s Basketball All-ACC accolades being released Tuesday, three Blue Devils received honors with Lexie Brown, Rebecca Greenwell and Jade Williams voted by the Blue Ribbon Panel and league head coaches.

Brown earned All-ACC First Team honors for the second straight year and it marked the third time in her collegiate career she received a conference first team selection as the 5-9 guard was awarded with All-Big Ten First Team honors as a sophomore at Maryland.

Joining Brown on the Blue Ribbon Panel All-ACC First Team were Shakayla Thomas (Florida State), Imani Wright (Florida State), Asia Durr (Louisville), Myisha Hines-Allen (Louisville), Paris Kea (UNC), Chelsea Nelson (NC State), Arike Ogunbowale (Notre Dame), Jessica Shepard (Notre Dame) and Tiana Mangakahia (Syracuse).

A native of Suwanee, Ga., Brown has turned in one of the best individual seasons in Duke history averaging 20.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.6 steals. Her 20.3 points is tied for the ACC best, while her 3.6 steals leads the league. Brown also ranks second in games with 20 or more points (16), tied sixth in assists and fifth in free throw percentage (82.6).

Voted All-ACC for the third straight year, Greenwell was selected to the second team.

Earning Second Team All-ACC accolades with Greenwell were Erykah Davenport (Miami), Marina Mabrey (Notre Dame), Taylor Emery (Virginia Tech) and Elisa Penna (Wake Forest).

Greenwell, who hails from Owensboro, Ky., has averaged 18.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals over the last seven contests. She is coming off matching a career high with 31 points in the regular season finale against North Carolina. Greenwell enters the postseason after draining 13 three-pointers over the last two games. The 6-0 guard ranks second in the ACC and 20th nationally with a 43.5 three-point field goal percentage.

Williams became the 22nd Blue Devil to earn All-ACC Freshman honors, after averaging 5.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in ACC play. Her 1.7 blocks ranked tied fourth in ACC play, while her 38 blocked shots led all league freshmen. Williams, who is from The Colony, Texas, featured her best game as a Blue Devil against ACC foe Georgia Tech with 16 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots.

Along with Williams on the All-ACC Freshman Team were Milan Bolden-Morris (Boston College), Kierra Fletcher (Georgia Tech), Dana Evans (Louisville), Mykea Gray (Miami), Kelsey Marshall (Miami), Janelle Bailey (UNC) and Digna Strautmane (Syracuse).

With an ACC-best 105 steals, Brown was selected to the All-ACC Defensive Team for the second straight year. She leads the league and ranks seventh nationally with a 3.6 steals average and has paced Duke’s defense to be one of the best nationally. It marked the 10th straight year a Blue Devil has been selected to the All-ACC Defensive Team.

Other selections included Felicia Aiyeotan (Virginia), Danielle Edwards (Clemson), Amber Campbell (Wake Forest) and Akela Maize (NC State).

Duke is seeded No. 4 in the ACC Tournament and will kick off action Friday, March 2 at 11 a.m., in the quarterfinals in Greensboro, N.C.
