DURHAM, N.C. – Five members of the Duke field hockey team received invitations to take part in the 2018 Young Women’s National Championship, as announced by USA Field Hockey recently.
The event will take place June 25-29 at Spooky Nook Sports, the home of USA Field Hockey in Lancaster, Pa. The tournament serves as a selection opportunity for the 2018-19 U.S. U-21 women’s national team and the U.S. women’s national development team.
Several other players with Duke ties will be in action with USA Field Hockey this month as well. Rising junior Margaux Paolino and Blue Devil alumnae Lauren Blazing and Stefanie Fee are in the midst of the U.S. women’s national team’s five-match test series against Argentina this week in Tucuman, Argentina. Rising junior Jillian Wolgemuth is also in Tucuman for a three-game test series against Argentina’s U-21 women’s national team.
