DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior Max Miller was named one of four finalists for the ABCA Rawlings Gold Glove Award for second base as announced by Rawlings. Miller joins Louisiana’s Hunter Kasuls, Oregon State’s Nick Madrigal and Illinois’ Michael Massey as this season’s second base finalists.
Miller started 60 games at season base his senior season, committing just two errors in 282 chances, good for a .993 fielding percentage. The Ponte Vedra, Fla., native put together a streak of 47-straight errorless games.
Miller was also part of Duke’s middle infield tandem that helped the Blue Devils total a school-record 61 doubles plays to lead all ACC teams and rank fifth nationally.
