About Chris Capuano
A lefty with deceptive stuff, Chris Capuano twice came back from Tommy John surgery to build a 12-year career in Major League Baseball for six different clubs. Capuano won 77 games with a 4.29 career ERA in the big leagues, including an 18-12 season with Milwaukee in 2005 and an All-Star game appearance in 2006. He posted double-digit victories for the Brewers in 2006, the New York Mets in 2011 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012. Drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth round of the 1999 MLB Draft, Capuano also helped Team USA earn a silver medal at the 2001 World Cup of Baseball. As a Blue Devil, Capuano started 33 games from 1997-99 and still ranks in the top 10 in school history with 251 career strikeouts.
