DURHAM, N.C. – Following a dominant sophomore season, Duke left-hander Graeme Stinson has been named to the Collegiate Baseball Pre-Season All-America second team as announced by the publication Monday.

Stinson is one of seven ACC players tabbed to the Collegiate Baseball first, second or third teams, joining Florida State’s Drew Parrish & Drew Mendoza, Louisville’s Logan Wyatt, NC State’s Will Wilson, North Carolina’s Caden O’Brien and Clemson’s Logan Davidson.

Stinson made 23 appearances and four starts as a sophomore this past season, posting a 5-1 record and 1.89 ERA. The 6-5 lefty struck out 98 batters in 62.0 innings, averaging a team-best 14.3 strikeouts per nine innings. In his fourth start of the season, Stinson picked up the win over Texas Tech in the Lubbock Super Regional, turning in 6.0 scoreless innings, striking out six and scattering five hits.

Over the summer, Stinson was named to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, striking out 10 batters in six innings while scattering two hits and five walks.

Entering the spring, Stinson is rated No. 4 on Baseball America’s list of Top 50 college prospects for the 2018 draft.

Stinson and the Blue Devils open the 2019 season Feb. 15-17 at home against Lehigh.
