DURHAM, N.C. – After playing the first of three consecutive road matches on Wednesday at Virginia Tech, the No. 44 Duke men’s tennis team preps for Clemson on Friday and finishes off the road trip Sunday at Georgia Tech.

Duke this Season
The No. 44 Blue Devils are 6-8 overall and 0-3 in the ACC. Junior No. 41 Nick Stachowiak is 7-3 at number one dual singles this season. Junior No. 114 Spencer Furman is 6-8 overall in dual singles action, while junior Robert Levine is 5-5 on the year in dual singles play, including a 3-1 in his last five matches at number five singles.

Recent Doubles Success
The Blue Devils have captured the doubles point in two straight matches, and are 7-of-14 on the year in securing doubles play. Senior Jason Lapidus is 8-5 in dual doubles play this season, while Stachowiak is 6-5 on the year. Furman and Levine are a perfect 4-0 on the year, and hold a 2-0 mark in ACC play.

Clemson History
The Blue Devils lead the all-time series 44-30 and are winners of three-straight matches against the Tigers. Dating back to April of 2005, Duke is 12-3 against Clemson.

Scouting the Tigers
Clemson is 8-8 overall and 1-2 in ACC action. Clemson 1-2 on the year against Duke common opponents, defeating Coastal Carolina 4-1 and falling to Elon 5-2 and Penn 4-1. Pierre-Louis Dodens is 9-4 in dual singles action this year, including a 5-2 record at the number five position. Both Simon Baudry and Yizhou Liu are 7-5 in dual singles play this year, with Baudry 4-3 at the number one spot. Baudry and Liu have combined for an 8-7 record in dual doubles this year, with a 4-5 mark on court number one.

Georgia Tech History
Duke leads the all-time series 45-18, however, it has dropped four of its past five meetings against the Yellow Jackets.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets
Georgia Tech is 6-6* (as of March 14) on the season and 1-2 in ACC play. The Yellow Jackets also boast a 6-1 record at home.
