DURHAM, N.C. – With play in the bottom of the fourth, the first game of the series between Duke and Virginia Tech was suspended due to lightning in the Durham area.
The Blue Devils, who hold a 1-0 lead, will be at the plate when play resumes with one out and a runner on second. Duke took the lead in the second inning, using three hits to cross the game’s first run. With the bases loaded, freshman Ethan Murray blooped a RBI single into shallow center field to give the Blue Devils the early lead.
Play will resume at 1 p.m. ET, on Saturday. Tickets that were purchased for today's game are valid for tomorrow's game, while tickets that were purchased for tomorrow's game are good for both contests.
