DURHAM, N.C. - Join sophomore Raine Wilson and freshman Amelia Wiercioch as they give you the exclusive tour of the brand new Duke Softball Stadium located on East Campus at Duke University.
Construction on the stadium began with the groundbreaking on May 23, 2016 and wrapped up Aug. 27, 2017. The program, led by head coach Marissa Young, moved into its home on Aug. 28 and hosted its first official team practice on Sept. 16.
The Blue Devils hosted the NC State Wolfpack on Sept. 30 for the first game at the facility and for the program. A total of 1,318 fans packed the Duke Softball Stadium for the team's inaugural contest.
Young and her Blue Devil squad continue their fall slate this week, as they play host to North Carolina Central on Thursday, Oct. 19 and Elon on Saturday, Oct. 21. Both contests are set for 5 p.m. ET first pitches and are free admission to all fans.
