"I think definitely one of the most memorable moments so far was when Peyton St. George, Jameson Kavel, and I were scooting down a hill at a considerable speed when Peyton’s jacket got caught in her wheel and she flew off her scooter."
What’s One Part Of Your Game That You Feel You’ve Improved The Most This Fall?
"The coaches have helped me a lot with improving my confidence in and consistency of my changeup."
Describe What It Was Like To Be A Part Of The Program’s Inaugural Game On Sept. 30.
"Our first game was one of the most incredible events I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. Stepping onto the field for the first time with Team One and the overwhelming support of the community behind us is a memory I will hold in my heart forever. It made me realize that this is where I am supposed to be."
What’s One Personal Goal You Have Set For Yourself During The 2018 Season?
"One goal I have set for myself is to be a more mindful player. A huge part of this game is observing your surroundings and adjusting accordingly, whether it be remembering which batters hit a certain pitch well, or moving where I stand in the box depending on the pitcher’s tendencies."
What Does It Mean To You To Be A Part Of Team One?
"Being a part of Team One is such a unique opportunity and I am thankful each day to be able to share it with my teammates. Having the ability to set our own standards and establish traditions for years to come has helped us grow as a Duke softball family. It all still seems so surreal, and I am just so grateful for all the support that has allowed us to come together and create something extraordinary."
