Favorite Moment At Duke So Far?
"My favorite moment would probably have to be playing in the first game. Seeing our brand new stadium filled with over a thousand people was awesome! It was an incredible feeling knowing that we have so much support behind us as we head into our first season. Another favorite would be when Duke football beat North Carolina in 2016 my freshmen year. A couple of my teammates and I sat in the front row and we were able to charge the field after. That’s a memory I will never forget."
What’s One Part Of Your Game That You Feel You’ve Improved The Most This Fall?
"I feel like I’ve made a lot of little tweaks in my swing this fall. Having a foot injury this fall was not ideal, but it definitely allowed me to focus on the upper half of my swing, which was where a lot of my struggles at the plate were coming from. I think that will make all the difference once I’m healed up for the spring."
Describe What It Was Like To Be A Part Of The Program’s Inaugural Game On Sept. 30.
"Seeing the crowd, the ribbon cutting, the National Anthem, and finally taking the field with my teammates, I remember everything so vividly. It’s so awesome knowing that by playing in that game, we made history. It might not have been the outcome we hoped for, but it was still an awesome experience that I will never forget. I cannot wait to get back on the field in the spring to make even more history with our first season!"
What’s One Personal Goal You Have Set For Yourself During The 2018 Season?
"One personal goal that I have for myself is to have a great fielding percentage. Our team goal is .975, and I’m setting that standard for myself as well."
What Does It Mean To You To Be A Part Of Team One?
"Being a part of Team One is something we all pride ourselves with. We’re setting the standards, starting the traditions and building the culture for the future of Duke softball. The fact that I get to be a part of this building process with this team is awesome."
