DURHAM, N.C. – As the Duke Softball program continues their preparation for their inaugural season in 2018, we give you an inside look at the student-athletes that have cemented their legacy as part of the team's foundation moving forward.
For this weekly series, Blue Devil Network's own Rebecca Fiorentino will discuss the qualities and characteristics of each player with head coach Marissa Young, who, having served as an assistant coach at North Carolina, will be entering her first season as a head coach in the ACC.
In this week's episode, we highlight Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. native Makenna Lutterloh.
Lutterloh earned Best Offensive Player honors for Santa Margarita Catholic High School in 2014, and also played for the Firecrackers travel organization.
Young on Lutterloh: “Makenna also comes to us from the Firecrackers organization. She has the ability to play second base and outfield and will be a table setter offensively with her bat.”
