DURHAM, N.C.—The November edition of the 2017 Duke Men’s Lacrosse Coaching Clinics is set for Nov. 8 in the Murray Building Team Room. The Blue Devils’ coaching staff will cover various topics that deal with teaching the game both from an X and Os standpoint as well as motivational techniques.
Head coach John Danowski and his staff have been taking suggestions via social media this year for the clinics. Coaches from all over the country have submitted talking point suggestions and requests to @Danowski_John and can do so again.
The staff often starts with talking about various principles of the game and coaching and wraps up the evening with a film review allowing coaches in attendance and those watching online an opportunity to see for themselves the principles, drills, etc., put into action.
The clinic begins at 7 p.m., and will be streamed live on GoDuke.com. It is free of charge to all viewers, however Danowski and the Duke lacrosse family is making a push for coaches to make a donation to the local Ronald McDonald House as the Blue Devils raise money to pay for a suite for a family at the house.
Any amount is helpful as Duke tries to reach its goal. The Ronald McDonald House is near and dear to the program’s heart and the players regularly cook a meal for the families who are staying there as their child receives treatment at Duke Hospital.
