Duke Earns NCAA At-Large Bid
The Blue Devils will be making their 22nd appearance in the NCAA Tournament Saturday when they host Villanova at 2:15 p.m. The game will be televised live by ESPNU and the winner advances to play the winner between Johns Hopkins and Georgetown May 20 in Annapolis, Md.
Duke NCAA Tournament Numbers
4 - Duke earned the No. 4 overall seed behind No. 1 Maryland, No. 2 Albany and No. 3 Yale. The Blue Devils were last seeded fourth in 1999 when they fell to Georgetown 17-14 in the opening round.
15-6 - One of nine programs with more tournament wins than postseason appearances, Duke is 15-6 in first-round games and 33-18 overall in NCAA Tournament play.
28-9 – Duke’s record when scoring at least 10 goals in an NCAA Tournament game. The Blue Devils are 1-9 when held to single digits.

Guterding Record Watch
The record watch continues for Justin Guterding after the senior climbed into rarefied air with his 200th career goal Sunday. The Garden City, N.Y., native joined former Blue Devil great Zack Greer as the only two players in NCAA history to reach the 200 mark. Danny Fowler Passes Sherwood
With 10 saves Sunday in his 50 minutes of action, Danny Fowler leaped over Chuck Sherwood on the Duke career saves chart with 586. He is 14 away from becoming the second Blue Devil goalie to reach 600 career saves. He currently sports a career-best 8.14 goals against average and a .546 save percentage.
The Villanova Matchup
Duke will meet Villanova for the first time in NCAA Tournament action and for the first time since 2006. The Blue Devils are 8-1 overall against the Wildcats with only two games occurring in the 2000s. Head coach John Danowski was 8-3 against Villanova during his time at Hofstra.
Duke and Villanova share three common opponents in Penn, Marquette and Denver. Both squads went 2-1 in the three games, but with varying victories.
