DURHAM, N.C.—Four former Blue Devil greats have been selected to represent their respective teams in the 2019 Premier Lacrosse League All-Star Game. The game will be played Sunday, July 21 at PT Banc of California Stadium at 8 p.m. (ET).
Jones and the Chaos currently sit in a tie for first place with a 4-1 overall record. The team’s +7 score differential gives it the edge over the 4-1 Whipsnakes. Duke’s top scoring midfielder in program history, Jones is tied for the team lead with six assists and has nine points overall on the year in his four outings.
The trio of Crotty, Guterding and Wolf has been the engine to the Chrome offense, combining for 45 points from 24 goals and 20 assists. Guterding has the lone two-point goal. Wolf is third in the league in assists per game and has eight overall, while Guterding is fifth with seven.
The NCAA record holder for career goals, Guterding has a team-high 18 points. Wolf I just behind him with 15 to his name and Crotty has 12. Chrome is 1-5 after beating Chaos 19-11 this past weekend. All five losses have come by two or fewer goals and three of them coming in overtime.
The inaugural All-Star Game starts at 8 p.m. (ET), while a skills challenge between the all-stars will take place at 10:30 p.m. (ET). The game will be televised by NBC Sports Network and the skills challenge on NBC Sports Gold.
