Hung Set to Join Blue Devils for 2018-19 Campaign

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team received its fifth signee for the 2018-19 recruiting class as saberist Sarah Hung signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to compete for the Blue Devils.

Hung comes to Duke from Carrollton, Texas, and currently attends Prince of Peace Christian School.

Hung most recently tied for 35th at the 2017 Junior Women’s November North American Cup (NAC) and competed in several events throughout 2016.

In 2016, Hung captured eighth at the 2016 Summer Nationals in Division IA and she was a member of the 2016 Summer Nationals Senior Team where they placed in the top 8. In NAC competition, Hung earned bronze at the 2016 March NAC in Division II, earning a “B” ranking. Hung also placed 12th at the 2016 December NAC in Division IA.

In 2015, Hung garnered a bronze medal at the Summer Nationals in Division III competition.
