LANCASTER, Pa. – Three players with Duke ties represented the Red, White and Blue during the U.S. women’s national team’s test series last week against No. 15 Chile. The four-match series was held at Spooky Nook Sports, the home of USA Field Hockey.

Former Blue Devils Lauren Blazing and Stefanie Fee and current Duke sophomore Margaux Paolino all saw the field as Team USA posted two wins and two ties.

In the series opener April 9, Blazing saw time in goal as the U.S. tied Chile, 2-2. The squad earned a 6-0 shutout April 11 before posting a 5-1 win last Friday. Paolino provided a diving finish on a cross by Kathleen Sharkey for Team USA’s fourth goal of the contest.

The U.S. wrapped up the final game of the test series Saturday, emerging with a 1-1 tie. Fee was integral in helping the squad earn its first penalty corner opportunity of the contest.

Team USA will play a final test series against Argentina June 10-17 in Tucuman, Argentina before traveling to London for the Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup July 21-Aug. 5.
