DURHAM, N.C. – The USA Field Hockey Junior High Performance Staff announced Monday its rosters for upcoming performance tours to Europe, with several Blue Devils earning spots on the U-19 and U-21 squads.

Junior back Jillian Wolgemuth was one of 18 athletes named to the U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team traveling roster for an April tour to Germany. The squad will face U-21 teams from Germany and Great Britain in a series of matches running April 20-24.

A second team All-ACC selection this fall as a member of Duke’s back line, Wolgemuth has previously been a member of the U.S. U-21, U-19 and U-17 squads and last summer competed with the U-21 team on a tour in Argentina.

Freshman forward Leah Crouse was selected to the U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team traveling roster for a similar April tour of Germany. She was joined on the roster by incoming Blue Devils Hannah Miller and Josie Varney. The U-19 team will face U-18 squads from Germany and Belgium April 18-21. In addition, Duke assistant coach Ralph Boersma serves as an assistant coach for the U.S. U-19 squad.

Crouse saw the field in all 22 contests for the Blue Devils as a rookie, sharing the team lead with nine assists. She has previously been selected to the U.S. U-19 and U-17 squads.

Miller, a midfielder/forward, attends Villa Maria Academy in Malvern, Pa., and is a member of the WC Eagles club program. Also a midfielder, Varney will come to Durham from St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire, where she is also a member of the North East Elite club program.
