DURHAM, N.C. – A busy summer of international competition will roll on for Duke rising senior Margaux Paolino, who was named Tuesday to the 16-athlete roster that will travel to Lima, Peru to represent the United States at the 2019 Pan American Games.

A member of the U.S. senior national team since March, 2018, Paolino owns 21 caps with Team USA. She previously captured a silver medal with a U.S. squad at the 2016 Women’s Junior Pan American Games in Trinidad & Tobago. Last year, she competed with Team USA at the 2018 Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup in London, scoring two goals.

Paolino is coming off of an action-packed summer that has seen the Blue Devil All-American compete with the U.S. in the newly-formed International Hockey Federation (FIH) Pro League.

Team USA, listed 13th in the FIH Hero World Rankings, has been placed in Pool B for the upcoming Pan American Games, which will serve as an Olympic-qualifying event. The U.S. kicks off play July 29 against Mexico at 3 p.m. ET. A full competition schedule is available here.
