2018-19: Claimed the 200 backstroke and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay in a dual meet victory at North Carolina (2/2) ... Began 2019 by sweeping the backstroke events and leading off the winning 200 medley relay against Queens University of Charlotte and William & Mary (1/12) ... At the Tennessee Invitational, led off Duke's 200 medley (1:25.55) and 400 medley relays that moved into the top three on the all-time performance list (3:10.91) … Individually, came in third in the 100 backstroke and sixth at the 200-yard distance … Took fourth in the 100 backstroke at the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge, earning an NCAA provisional cut at 46.75 … Led off winning 200 medley relay, competed on first place 400 freestyle relay and won the 100 backstroke in season opener at Virginia Tech (10/13).
2017-18: Rounded out the season by breaking his own school record in the 100 backstroke three times at the ACC Championships ... Won the event consolation final in a time of 46.48 before resetting his own mark again with a leadoff split of 46.27 on the Blue Devils’ 400 medley relay ... Lowered his own school record in the 200 backstroke as well in a 15th-place finish ... Member of 200 freestyle relay that broke a seven-year old school record with a 1:18.46 clocking ... That performance tied the group for sixth in the conference ... Led off 200 medley relay that took seventh (1:25.99) and competed on school record-breaking 400 freestyle relay that took sixth in the conference ... Led off winning 200 medley relay at No. 25 Virginia and against No. 19 Virginia Tech and No. 20 Florida State ... Also led off 400 medley relay that took first in the season opener against the Hokies and Seminoles (10/13) ... Tabbed the ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week Jan. 31 after guiding Duke to its first dual meet victory over the Tar Heels since 1939 ... Claimed the 200 backstroke in a dual meet at Queens University (12/3) ... Took third in the 100 backstroke and seventh in the 200 backstroke at the NC State GAC Invite ...
